This needlepoint is truly one of my favorite finds! The solider is so dapper but it’s the inscription on the back that makes it so special! It reads:
”Long life to Jeffrey H. Stewart November 1973 from Bobbie & Johnny Greenberg of S.F. With lots of love and good wishes for always. Needlepoint purchased in Athens, Greece Subject: French Soldier A Very Important Day November 10, 1973”
I am assuming this was purchased as a birthday gift for a new baby! What a sweet treasure. The frame is wooden & the colors are excellent! The paper on the back has been torn but only visible from the back. The piece measures 10x6.5.
